Founder — My High School Timeline

Emili Kosik

I founded My High School Timeline, a free planning platform that gives students a personalized roadmap through high school. I run the whole thing — product, positioning, launch content, and the first pilot cohort — alongside internship work in startup PR and customer operations.

My High School Timeline
Founder — product, go-to-market and operations
2025 – Present

A free planning platform built on a concrete market gap: the average student-to-counselor ratio in Texas is 457:1, so most students make the decisions that shape their college applications without any individual guidance. My High School Timeline turns that guidance into a product — a personalized timeline of the deadlines and decisions that matter, year by year.

Product
  • Defined the positioning, feature set and pricing model — free, no ads, no upsells, no sensitive data collected
  • Segmented the audience (incoming freshmen, transfers, international students) and built a different timeline for each
  • Designed and shipped the landing site and web app hands-on, with no engineering budget
Go-to-market
  • Run a YouTube channel as the main acquisition channel, producing short-form student advice
  • Recruited the first pilot cohort — Round Rock HS, Spring 2026 — to validate with real users before scaling
  • Wrote the messaging for both audiences: students, and parents new to the US school system

Work & Volunteer Experience

Tip Assistive Technology LLC
Intern/Assistant — Austin, TX
2025 – Present

Supported a hardware startup on the commercial side: press outreach, the pre-order pipeline, and the Early Bird program that put the first devices in customers' hands.

  • Drafted press releases and coordinated media outreach, keeping messaging consistent across channels
  • Processed incoming pre-orders — verified customer details, tracked order status, and kept the pipeline clean for fulfillment
  • Ran participant administration for the Early Bird program, under which devices were shipped free to first adopters, and handled communication with the list
  • Translated and adapted promotional copy for target audiences
  • Edited advertising video drafts for clarity, flow, and brand consistency
  • Initiated contact with potential collaborators and scheduled meetings between management and partners

  • Designed promotional graphics and materials, improving local brand reach and engagement
  • Maintained a consistent posting schedule and drove announcement campaigns
  • Translated content into 2–3 main languages to reach a mixed local market
